Alimodian is a third-class municipality located at the southwest portion of Iloilo Province, lying on the coordinates of 10°49’0.96″ North Latitude, 122°25’53.46″ East Longitude situated 25 kilometers northwest of Iloilo City. It is bounded on the north by Municipality of San Remegio, Antique; on the east by Municipalities of Maasin and Cabatuan, Iloilo, on the south by Municipality of San Miguel, on the west by Municipality of Leon.

Its verdant plains and rolling hills cover about 14,482 hectares, declared by the Land Management Bureau (LMB). At a glance, the municipality map represents a sharp-pointed weapon placed in a 45 degrees position. Its tip is pointing to the northwest, seemingly highlighting the nature-based tourism assets of the municipality.
